Infectious Disease Kit Hepatitis C Virus Antibody(Anti-HCV) for Automatic Immunoassay Analyzer in Infectious Disease from China manufacturer - ZECEN Bio
Viral hepatitis C (HC), referred to as hepatitis C or hepatitis C (HC), is liver damage caused by hepatitis C virus (HCV) mainly transmitted through blood, and rarely through close contact. Hepatitis C has hidden symptoms and a long incubation period. 80% of patients have no obvious symptoms or only feel tired and weak, which often leads to misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis. It is known as the "silent killer". Hepatitis C antibodies are produced by the body's immune cells in response to infection with the hepatitis C virus. Antibodies circulate in the blood and are frequently detected. The hepatitis C antibody test determines the presence of the previous virus by testing for the presence of hepatitis C antibodies, rather than testing the virus itself.
A positive hepatitis C antibody can only mean that you have been infected in the past, but if there is still virus in your body now, you need to conduct an HCV-RNA test. HCV-RNA detects the actual presence of hepatitis C virus in the blood.
