Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) quantitative detection kit (CLIA) (hereinafter referred to as the kit) is used for the in vitro quantitative determination of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) levels in serum. It can assist the diagnosis of polycystic ovary, gonadal dysgenesis and menopause syndrome and other diseases, which can be used as basis for the development of dynamic observation process, efficacy and prognosis.
Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) is a glycoprotein hormone secreted by the anterior pituitary, which is one of the pituitary gonadotropin secretion. The main role is to facilitate follicle. FSH promotes granulosa cell into differentiation layer, and the entire ovary grow up. Acting on the testis seminiferous tubules, it may promote the formation of sperm. Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) is produced by the hypothalamus, and controls the FSH release. Like other glycoproteins, such as LH, TSH, and HCG , FSH consists of α and β subunits. Αsubunit structure of such hormones is very similar, and therefore, the biological and immunological properties difference of these hormones depends on its unique β subunit.
